Privacy Policy

This part explains how Calota LTD ("Calota", "we", "us", "our") uses personal information when you visit our public pages on calota.co, including our application page at calota.co/funnel and the application form on it. Calota LTD is the controller of this information. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16001892, and our registered office is Apartment 1, The Big Windsor, Stuart Place, Cardiff, CF10 5BU, Wales. For anything about your privacy, email support@calota.ai.

Your application: when you fill in our application form, we collect your name, email address and phone number, and your answers about your business, such as your monthly revenue, ad spend, niche and plans.

Your visit: when you visit our application page, we and Meta collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, the pages you view, and whether you start or submit the form.

We use your application to review it and to contact you about it, including by phone. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries. You do not have to apply, but we cannot consider an application without your name, email and phone number. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.

We use the Meta technologies described below to measure and improve our advertising. We use your device's time zone to work out where you are. If it is in the UK or Europe, or we cannot tell, nothing from Meta loads unless you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner, and our legal basis is your consent. Everyone else gets the Meta Pixel straight away, with a notice and an Opt out button. For them our legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our ads, and they can opt out at any time as described in section 6.

Our application page uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta. It sets cookies on your device (called _fbp and _fbc, which last up to 90 days) and sends Meta information about your visit, including the page, the time, your IP address, your browser and device, and whether you started or submitted our form. Meta may also read or set its own cookies, such as fr, if you use Facebook or Instagram in the same browser.

When you submit the form, our server also sends Meta a record of that submission through Meta's Conversions API. It includes your email address, first and last name and phone number in hashed form, which means they are turned into a scrambled code before they leave our systems, along with your IP address, browser details, the Meta cookie values, an event ID, the address of the page and the form's name. We do not send Meta your answers to the form questions.

Meta and other third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to provide measurement services and to target ads. Meta uses this information to tell us how our ads perform, to show our ads to people more likely to be interested, and to build audiences for our ads. Meta may match it to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it for its own purposes under the Meta Privacy Policy.

If you refuse advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel does not load. If you opt out after it has loaded, it stops sending anything to Meta from then on. Either way we do not send your form details to Meta. Opting out stops collection from then on. It does not delete Meta cookies already on your device or what Meta has already received. We save your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again.

For people in the UK, Calota LTD and Meta Platforms, Inc. are joint controllers for collecting this information on our page and sending it to Meta. For people in the European Economic Area, the joint controller is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. We are responsible for telling you about this and for getting your consent where it is needed. Meta is responsible for what it does with the information after it receives it, and you can exercise your rights over that with Meta directly. The main points of our arrangement with Meta are in section 5 of Meta's Business Tools Terms, including the Controller Addendum and the UK Controller Addendum it includes.

• Cookie settings: you can accept, refuse or opt out of advertising cookies in the cookie banner on our application page, and change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of that page.
• Meta settings: you can control how Meta uses information from other websites to show you ads in your Facebook or Instagram Accounts Center, under Ad preferences and Your activity off Meta technologies.
• Industry opt outs: you can opt out of interest based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org in the US, and at youronlinechoices.eu in the UK and Europe.
• Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Do Not Track: our site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no agreed standard for them. Please use the choices above.

We share personal information with Meta as described above, and with service providers who run our website and form for us: Framer (website hosting), Cloudflare (form processing and storage), Discord (notifying our team of new applications) and Google (web fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads). Framer and Cloudflare may only use it to provide their services to us. Discord and Google also handle it under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Sending information to Meta for advertising may count as sharing or targeted advertising under some US state laws, and you can opt out of it using the choices in section 6.

Meta Platforms, Inc. and some of our service providers are based in the United States. When we send personal information from the UK to the US, we rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

We keep applications, including the copy in our team's Discord, for up to 24 months after our last contact with you and then delete them, unless you become a client, in which case our client terms apply. The Meta cookies on your device expire after up to 90 days unless you delete them sooner. Meta keeps what it receives under its own policy.

If you are in the UK or Europe, you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to our use of it, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office or to your local data protection authority.

If you are in the US, depending on your state you may have rights to know what we hold, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To use any of these rights, email support@calota.ai. We reply within one month.

Our website and services are for business owners and are not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.

Calota Ad Library+ ("the Extension") is a browser extension published by Calota LTD ("Calota", "we", "us", "our"). It adds a cleaner, more useful layer on top of the Meta Ad Library (facebook.com/ads/library) and the TikTok Creative Center (ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter) so creative teams can review and compare ads more easily.

This part explains exactly what the Extension does and does not do with data. The short version: the Extension runs entirely inside your own browser, has no account or login, and never sends your data to us or anyone else.

We do not collect, receive, or transmit any personal information through the Extension. The Extension has no server of its own, no account system, and no analytics or tracking. Specifically:

Ad data on the page: When you open the Meta Ad Library or the TikTok Creative Center, the Extension reads ad information that Meta or TikTok already shows on the page (such as how long an ad has been running, page likes, number of versions, and the platforms it runs on) so it can display that information more clearly on each ad card. This reading happens locally in your browser and is never sent to us.

Saved ads: When you click Save on an ad, a small record of that ad (such as its Ad Library link, advertiser name, days active, and thumbnail) is stored locally in your browser. It stays on your device and is never uploaded.

No personal data: The Extension does not ask for, collect, or store your name, email, location, browsing history, or any other personal information.

The Extension requests only the minimum Chrome permissions needed to work:

• Storage: to save the ads you choose to Save, locally in your browser, so your board is still there next time you visit.
• Downloads: to let you save an ad's image or video to your computer when you click Download.
• Access to facebook.com and ads.tiktok.com: so the Extension can run on the Meta Ad Library and the TikTok Creative Center and enhance the ad cards. It only activates on facebook.com/ads/library and ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter pages and does nothing on any other site.

Everything the Extension stores lives on your own device, inside your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not operate any database or server that receives your data from the Extension, so there is nothing on our side to access, share, or lose. Any media you download is saved wherever your browser saves downloads, on your own computer.

• It does not collect or transmit your personal information.
• It does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
• It does not use tracking cookies, advertising, profiling, or third-party analytics.
• It does not run on any website other than the Meta Ad Library and the TikTok Creative Center.
• It does not post, modify, or change anything in your Facebook, Meta or TikTok account. The Extension is read-only: it only reads what is already shown publicly in the Ad Library and the Creative Center.

The only third parties the Extension interacts with are Meta and TikTok, and it shares no personal data with either.

Meta (the Meta Ad Library): The Extension reads ad information already displayed on facebook.com/ads/library and links out to ads and advertiser libraries. Your use of the Meta Ad Library itself is governed by Meta's own terms and the Meta Privacy Policy.

TikTok (the TikTok Creative Center): The Extension reads ad information already displayed on ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter. Your use of the Creative Center itself is governed by TikTok's own terms and the TikTok Privacy Policy.

The Extension loads no external scripts, fonts, trackers, or analytics. Its fonts and images are bundled inside the Extension itself. Apart from the Meta or TikTok page you already have open, it only makes network requests to fetch the media you choose to download.

Because all Extension data stays on your device, you are always in full control:

• Remove a saved ad: open the Calota panel and remove any saved ad, or use Clear to empty your saved board.
• Delete everything: removing the Extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions → Remove) permanently deletes all of its locally stored data, including your saved board.

There is no Extension data held by us to request deletion of, because we never receive any.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be shown by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future version of the Extension ever changes what data it handles, we will update this part before that version is released.
