Privacy Policy

Calota Ad Library+ ("the Extension") is a browser extension published by Calota LTD ("Calota", "we", "us", "our"). It adds a cleaner, more useful layer on top of the Meta Ad Library (facebook.com/ads/library) so creative teams can review and compare ads more easily.

This policy explains exactly what the Extension does and does not do with data. The short version: the Extension runs entirely inside your own browser, has no account or login, and never sends your data to us or anyone else.

We do not collect, receive, or transmit any personal information. The Extension has no server of its own, no account system, and no analytics or tracking. Specifically:

Ad data on the page: When you open the Meta Ad Library, the Extension reads ad information that Meta already shows on the page (such as how long an ad has been running, page likes, number of versions, and the platforms it runs on) so it can display that information more clearly on each ad card. This reading happens locally in your browser and is never sent to us.

Saved ads: When you click Save on an ad, a small record of that ad (such as its Ad Library link, advertiser name, days active, and thumbnail) is stored locally in your browser. It stays on your device and is never uploaded.

No personal data: The Extension does not ask for, collect, or store your name, email, location, browsing history, or any other personal information.

The Extension requests only the minimum Chrome permissions needed to work:

• Storage: to save the ads you choose to Save, locally in your browser, so your board is still there next time you visit.
• Downloads: to let you save an ad's image or video to your computer when you click Download.
• Access to facebook.com: so the Extension can run on the Meta Ad Library and enhance the ad cards. It only activates on facebook.com/ads/library pages and does nothing on any other site.

Everything the Extension stores lives on your own device, inside your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not operate any database or server that receives your data, so there is nothing on our side to access, share, or lose. Any media you download is saved wherever your browser saves downloads, on your own computer.

• We do not collect or transmit your personal information.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
• We do not use tracking cookies, advertising, profiling, or third-party analytics.
• We do not run on any website other than the Meta Ad Library.
• We do not post, modify, or change anything in your Facebook or Meta account. With respect to Meta the Extension is read-only: it only reads what is already shown publicly in the Ad Library.

The only third party the Extension interacts with is Meta, and it shares no personal data with them.

Meta (the Meta Ad Library): The Extension reads ad information already displayed on facebook.com/ads/library and links out to ads and advertiser libraries. Your use of the Meta Ad Library itself is governed by Meta's own terms and the Meta Privacy Policy.

The Extension loads no external scripts, fonts, trackers, or analytics. Its fonts and images are bundled inside the Extension itself, so apart from reading the Meta page you already have open, it makes no outside network requests at all.

Because all data stays on your device, you are always in full control:

• Remove a saved ad: open the Calota panel and remove any saved ad, or use Clear to empty your saved board.
• Delete everything: removing the Extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions → Remove) permanently deletes all of its locally stored data, including your saved board.

There is no data held by us to request deletion of, because we never receive any.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be shown by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future version of the Extension ever changes what data it handles, we will update this policy before that version is released.
